Are you in the mood for a trip down to South America?

 Are you within the mood for a visit right down to South America? i used to be down in Brazil last year and got my first chance to fly a few of local airlines. Brazil-based GOL Airlines was one among them. It isn’t a documented name outside of South America, but GOL is really Brazil’s largest airline, with over a 3rd of the country’s market share. it's hubs in multiple Brazilian cities. And of note for AvGeeks, it’s a 100% Boeing 737 fleet — mostly next-gen -700s and -800s, but also a couple of new MAXes.




My flight with them was a brief hop from Rio to Iguazu — a bread-and-butter short-haul service. Along the way I need to sample the Rio lounge scene and obtain some gorgeous bench views of Brazil from the air. Read on for the complete scoop, and see if you’d be game to offer GOL a go.

Heat's Meyers Leonard away from team indefinitely after using anti-Semitic slur during video game stream

  The NBA is investigating a video of injured forward-center Meyers Leonard using an anti-Semitic slur while playing a video game on Monday. Leonard is seen playing the "Call of Duty" game and is recorded using the slur while engaged with another gamer on Twitch, where Meyers often plays. Leonard, who will remain away from the team indefinitely, apologized in a post on Instagram. "I am deeply sorry for using an anti-Semitic slur during a livestream yesterday," Leonard wrote. "While I didn’t know what the word meant at the time, my ignorance about its history and how offensive it is to the Jewish community is absolutely not an excuse and I was just wrong. "I am now more aware of its meaning and I am committed to properly seeking out people who can help educate me about this type of hate and how we can fight it." Boeing would not seriously pursue this if it did not deem it absolutely necessary

  Conventional wisdom had it that Boeing’s recent woes would keep it from having the ability to afford developing an all-new aircraft within the foreseeable future, albeit it were strikingly necessary. But, as Aviation Week has reported, Boeing has begun talks with suppliers a few project built on its previous work for a replacement midmarket airplane, currently available technologies and an aggressive timetable (AW&ST Feb. 8-21, p. 12). This raises the very real prospect that the corporate may very well launch an aircraft within the not-too-distant future in spite of all the constraints.
